We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales & Startup Engagement Officer to drive the growth of our business by engaging potential clients and startups in Greece and Cyprus, particularly within the EIT Urban Mobility framework.
Your goals
- Identify and target potential companies and organizations across various industries that can benefit from AETHON’s AI-driven solutions;
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, driving new business for AETHON’s products and services;
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through networking, cold calling, and leveraging existing relationships;
- Present AETHON’s solutions to potential clients, showcasing the value of our innovative products for smart cities, mobility, and energy sectors;
- Identify and engage with promising startups that align with AETHON’s innovation ecosystem and the EIT Urban Mobility framework;
- Work with the AETHON team to provide startups and companies with guidance, resources, and strategic advice to maximize their success;
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and startups, identifying opportunities to tailor AETHON’s offerings to their needs.
What we are looking for in candidates
- Minimum 2 years in sales, business development, or partnership management, with a proven track record of closing deals and driving revenue;
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Understanding of the startup ecosystem and business development practices;
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to engage with various stakeholders, including C-level executives, entrepreneurs, and potential clients;
- Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate deals, create value propositions, and build long-lasting relationships;
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with digital tools and platforms used in the sales and startup ecosystems (e.g., CRM software, PowerPoint, LinkedIn);
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to research market trends and assess business opportunities.
What we consider a plus:
- MBA or a related business qualification;
- Experience in working with or within a startup incubator/accelerator;
- Familiarity with EU-funded programs and innovation funding schemes.
